Marsden nut

Marsden nut

(OP)
Could someone please explain what a Marsden nut is? Our charts just say Marsden locknut, but the shop complains that they spin on with no resistance.

(I did a Google search and turned up lots of people named Marsden including some that were nut cases.)

Thanks

RE: Marsden nut

This isn’t a Marsden Nut, but operates on similar principle,

They do work.

RE: Marsden nut

I was wrong on the comparison of Marsden and Zip-Nut.  Now I've got to figure out what the other nut I was thinking about was.

RE: Marsden nut

The Marsden Lock Nut is a free running locking nut. That is it's selling point.  I'm still trying to find my literature on the nut.
