Sheetmetal Slots - Standard ?

Sheetmetal Slots - Standard ?

Sheetmetal Slots - Standard ?

(OP)
Is there a prefered/standard way to insert "slots" in a sheetmetal panel (aside from creating 2 holes and a cut between them).
Should be simple (and probably is) but I'm a rookie !

RE: Sheetmetal Slots - Standard ?

SW2004 Feature Pallete > Sheetmetal had oodles of predefined hole shapes ... doesn't SW2005 still have those?

Come to think of it ... doesn't SW2005 now have a sketch feature which creates a slot from a single line?

RE: Sheetmetal Slots - Standard ?

2005 still has slots: Design Library > Palette features > Sheetmetal > slot.  They are super easy to make if there isn't one that you need.  The easiest thing to do is right-click a part, "save as copy" and save as using the Lib Feat Part ".SLDLFP" extension.  Refresh your library after modifying and saving.
