Tip of the Day

Tip of the Day

I was wondering if there's a way to view the entire SolidWorks "Tip of the Day" list.  I'm running SW 2005 SP2.0

Thanks

RE: Tip of the Day

I copied this from some other post awhile back, but have never tried it myself.

They're compiled into a DLL called "sldtodu.dll" found in the "lang\english" (or whatever language you're interested in) folder.

You can view them with a resource editor (like this one:
http://www.bhnet.com.br/~simonet/resexp.htm) but I couldn't save them to a file.  Maybe a better resource explorer would work.

Thanks.  I tired opening it with a program called Resource Hacker, which while it was able to display all the tips, it doesn't look like there's a clean and easy way to print the list.

RE: Tip of the Day

There isn't an easy "copy and paste" all option for this.  I did this with SW 2004 and pasted it into Excel using "resource hacker".  I had to open each "section", if you will, and copy and paste that section into excel.  It was time consuming.
