Asphalt Millings Stockpile

Asphalt Millings Stockpile

Asphalt Millings Stockpile

(OP)
Are there any known dangers with stockpiling asphalt millings? Are there any special management techniques that should be considered such as preventing stormwater leaching, sediment and/or dust control, etc.?

A client want to store recycled asphalt millings on his property to be used at a later time for driveway and parking lot aggregate.

RE: Asphalt Millings Stockpile

They are not real dusty because as they sit in the sun they start to reset. water doesn't leach any chemicals unless they were coatied with spilled oils, etc. However they make a great road base and can be added to hotmix to cut costs.
