3 Phase Generator

3 Phase Generator

3 Phase Generator

(OP)
I have, what I believe to be, an induction, 3 phase engine drive 22kw generator, commercially made, which will not product any voltage.  The rotor is made up of laminations with no coils, sliprings or rectifier circuitry.
What is needed to make this a stand a lone generator? All help is appreciated.  This quary is also posted in the Lighting and Wiring Forum.
Thanks
Dials

RE: 3 Phase Generator

Search for induction generator on this forum for more information, but it will not be a stand alone system.  It will have to operate in parallel with a much larger source of power, usually the utility grid.

RE: 3 Phase Generator

An Induction generator requires being supplied with line volatage for excitation.  For a "stand alone", a voltage source control system will be needed.  a Google found this as reference http://www.scs-www.com/Igc.html
