Estimate Weld Cost

Estimate Weld Cost

Estimate Weld Cost

(OP)
Hi all.
I am working on putting together a pricing program for our sales department that would allow them to enter in the dimensional parameters for venturis that we sell and obtain an estimate of our cost to manufacture.  Dimensionally, it was easy to compute the weight of the unit, but when it comes to estimating weld and machining costs, I am at a loss (both procedures will be done outside of our facility).  Do any of you know of a program that estimates weld costs?  I found one, e-weld, but it does not include TIG, only MIG.  Is there maybe some general rule of thumb that would correlate weld type, joint type and material thickness?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Likewise, if anyone has any suggestions on estimating machining costs(mostly bevelling for buttweld connections), that info would be much appreciated as well.

Thanks in advance!

You might want to take a look at this one also.
