Sect IX QW-416 ??

Sect IX QW-416 ??

Sect IX QW-416 ??

(OP)
Regarding Table QW-416 Filler Metals QW-404.23 Solid or metal-cored to flux cored: in the Brief of Variables column, the Legend symbol is "t" indicating thickness. Is that symbol correct or should the "Change" symbol have been used??

RE: Sect IX QW-416 ??

Yes, it appears so. I compared the 2004 Edition (Article IV Welding Data) with the 2003 Addendum (Article IV), and the 2003 Addendum shows no symbol at all for filler metal QW-404.23 in Table QW-416.

Interestingly, if you review the essential variables for the welding processes in QW-255, they show a change symbol for QW-404.23.

RE: Sect IX QW-416 ??

There is no symbol for this essential variable (Gtaw &Paw),
pl refer QW 256
