Spliting a task

Spliting a task

Spliting a task

(OP)
Hi All,
I split a task in two parallel sub tasks but the main task duration is not the sum of the two sub task.
Do you have any suggestion to resolve this case?

Regards

RE: Spliting a task

A few more details would probably facilitate a more expeditious response.
If you differentiate between work and duration this might resolve the issue.

RE: Spliting a task

You say they're "parallel," implying that they might even be overlapping, in which case, there's no reason to expect the duration, which is calendar work days to be the sum of the subtasks.  As the above post indicates, total work is what is summed.
