GE relay coordination

(OP)
Hi,Folks,

I have a question regarding GE relay SR-750-003.
What do Ins_OC=1.29, OC_PU=2 stand for? Ins_OC should be larger than OC_PU? Is that right?

Thank you in advance.

RE: GE relay coordination

It depends on what you want to do - if both are tripping then, yes.  But if the instantaneous is an alarm, and the other is a trip, then it does make sense.  You need to look at the whole of the I/O assignments and output mapping to make sense of it all.

RE: GE relay coordination

If this is a distribution circuit, it is possible that some type of reclosing is being done and the instantaneous is used for the first one or two operations, and the time overcurrent is used for the subsequent operations.  This is very common for reclosing applications.  As Bung mentions, you really need to see how the relay is configured and wired.
