Imported Surface

(OP)
Hi All,

Is there anyway to be able to due a section view of imported surfaces?

RE: Imported Surface

Sure--sort of.

Select the plane you want the section view, open a sketch, use the Intersection Curve tool in the Sketch toolbar to convert the entities of the surface where it intersects the sketch plane.

You can use this tool to generate loft sections of an imported surface.

You can also use this tool to create a curve where two surfaces intersect one another.  Select the Intersection Curve, then Ctrl-select the surfaces that intersect.  A 3D sketch will be generated with a spline where the surfaces intersect.
