4x500kW CPP involving long 22kV power distribution cables

4x500kW CPP involving long 22kV power distribution cables

(OP)
I am working on a tender for 4x500kW Gas engine generator based CPP. The generation at 415V is connected to LV switchgear and then stepped up to the local distribution voltage of 22kV through 3nos. 750kVA, 415V/22kV generator transformers through 22kV panel. The existing four nos. substations are spread out and involve laying of 22kV cables totalling to about 31/2kilometers approximately. The loads at the 415V CPP bus are power plant auxiliary loads and some lighting and AC&ventilation loads. The loads at each of the substations are 500kW or less.

I am not sure,
1) whether a 500kW can supply the charging inrush current of 750kVA, generator transformer at 415V.

2) What will be the effect on the 415V generator due to the capacitance of the 31/2 km long 22kV cables when only one or two generators are connected to 22kV panel.

3) Is there any possibility of resonance occuring betweeninductance of the transformers and the cable capacitance.

I would be obliged if you could share your thoughts / opinions / experiences on the subject.

Thanks in anticipation.
