how to use formula editor

how to use formula editor

(OP)
I managed to make a design table work with sketch variables; now I am trying to use the formula editor for say, a fillet radius value which I am trying to save as 'R' and then access via a spreadsheet.

So I pick the fillet, then the formula editor.  It gives me a field, and it looks as though I should type 'R' into it, but the machine barfs at this.

Can anyone give me a clue?

RE: how to use formula editor

Use the Parameter List in the bottom of the formula editor - you will need to double click it from there.  You can also select it from the list of parameters on the tree (here you will only need to single click it).
