multiple draft
multiple draft
(OP)
Is there a way that I can add multiple draft angles to an extruded feature at the time of the extrude (not using additional draft features)?
Picture an extruded square profile with 5 degrees of draft on 3 sides and 1 degree on the fourth. I'd like to be able to do this in the extrude feature itself, because the feature in question gets mirrored later in the feature tree. I know I could mirror faces, but I'm modifying an existing part and modifying the mirror feature in this manner will cause me headaches later on.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Dave Gowans

Admittedly not the best modeling practice, but I've got a model to finish. The area in question is a vertical shutoff of an injection molded part (3 shutoff surfaces, 1 surface which needs nominal draft), which was the source of my original question.
Some of the downstream features (fillets, draft, etc.) made it necessary for me to make the change in this manner so I didn't cause chaos with the rest of the feature tree.
Thanks for the suggestions,
