Convesrion of dimensions from Metric to inch

Convesrion of dimensions from Metric to inch

Convesrion of dimensions from Metric to inch

I tried to do a search for getting some hlep in converting a metric dwg to inch. I did the first part of scaling the diemsnion by 1/25.4 and converting the actual diemsnions to inch. But the dimension value displayed against that particular diemsnion does not get changed. Is there any way to do that?

I have a whole lot of dwgs to convert this way and do not seem to find a way.

RE: Convesrion of dimensions from Metric to inch

If the dimensions are not associative
you are out of luck.  I wonder if you
can just show the alternate dimensions
and not rescale the drawings.

RE: Convesrion of dimensions from Metric to inch

diamondjim is right.  You are out of luck if your dimensions are not associative, exploded or have their text values manually keyed in.  If not, you are in luck!!  Just go DDIM, change the scale factor in the Primary or Secondary Units Tab.  Done!!  No need to change any of your objects or scale the drawing.

Thanks for the info.

This dwg was converted to CAD format from CATIA. And they were associative in the original format. Probably it has lost its association after the conversion to AUTOCAD.

I am definitely out of luck here and I will have to rediemsnion each one separately.
