Henry's constant for gases in organic solvents

Henry's constant for gases in organic solvents

Henry's constant for gases in organic solvents

(OP)
Following the thread 135-118498, which had excellent discussions on dissolved oxygen in water, I have this question: does anyone know of a good source of data on the solubility or Henry's contants of gases such as oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, etc., in common ORGANIC SOLVENTS, such as methanol, ethanol, THF, toluene, ethyl acetate, etc.? Or

RE: Henry's constant for gases in organic solvents

In one of my books concerning solubility of gases in liquids four sources are given:
Batting  R. and H.L.Clever, Chem Rew 60 (1966) 395
Linke W. F. and  A.Seidell, Solubilities: Inorganic and Metal Organic Compounds, 4th Edn., Vol 1, 1956; Vol 2,1965; D. van Nostrand New York
Seidell A.:Solubility of organic compounds, 3rd Edn. 1941 D. van Nostrand New York
Seidell A. and W. F. Linke: Solubility of inorganic and organic compounds,Supplement to 3rd Edn. 1952, D. van Nostrand New York
However, I do not have those books so I cannot check for your cases.

RE: Henry's constant for gases in organic solvents

Landolt Bornstein   ISBN 3-540-06564-4 / ISBN 0-387-06564-4 Springer Verlag
Gleichgewicht der absorption von gasen in Flussigkeiten von niedrigem dampfdruck

contains many graphs, tables, for inorganic and organic solvents.   I have the book, so could have a quick look for a specific case.

RE: Henry's constant for gases in organic solvents

"Calculating Henry's Law Constant for Gases in Organic Liquids, Osburn and markovic, Chemical Engineering, August 25, 1969" may be helpful. Sorry for the late response, it took a while to dig it out.
