Graphing a function without data in a sheet

Graphing a function without data in a sheet

(OP)
Does anyone know how, if it is possible, to graph a function (i.e. y=mx^2) without cell data?  Assume a chart already exists created from data.  I want to add a line generated by a function without having to enter values into cells then referencing those cells to add the line to the chart.  Basically I'm looking to do it in code where I can call the code from a macro or toolbar.

pugap,

It seems to me that the easiest way to do this is to use your code to place the values in cells (in a hidden worksheet, if required) and then use more code to add the new data to the chart.  On running the first bit of code, you can be prompted for the value of "m".  Does this sound like what you need?
