Short commands don¦t work

Short commands don¦t work

Is there a setting for short commands? For example Ctrl+S used to work for Save but now it doesn´t. I only have this problem in AutoCad. Thanks/ Henric

RE: Short commands don¦t work

Check out your help files under customization. This is a custom menu issue for shortcuts like these.

I think the solution is options-> customize settings (?)-> Windowkeys...(?)

Thanks a lot for the help.
It turns out that Cad and Windows have different accelerator keys and if you want to use the windows standard you find the setting under Options - User preferences - Windows standard accelerator keys, in case someone with thew same problem reads this.

RE: Short commands don¦t work

You could also try this

Tools -> Customise -> Keyboard

From this dialog box you can define any keyboard shortcuts that you want. This is probably what Exxit is referring to.
By the way, this is for Acad 2005, but I'm fairly sure it's roughly the same for older versions as well.
