Tractrix valve seats... Any info?

Tractrix valve seats... Any info?

Tractrix valve seats... Any info?

(OP)
I have been delving into the issue of valve seat wear as it relates to tractrix geometry.  I came across a paper several years ago and only recently started studying this.

Does anyone have a links to a production example of use of tractrix geometry for valve seats?  All I can find is examples of the Wordin stopcock valve.  I'm fairly sure it has been used in globe valve before.

I could be the world's greatest underachiever, if I could just learn to apply myself.

RE: Tractrix valve seats... Any info?

I don't recall seeing it anywhere, except ...

a worn but functional engine valve's seating surface bears a superficial resemblance.
