Thermal Stability Test

(OP)
Hello

I would like to ask about the simple method for detrmine (TST)of chemical products.
N.B    (TST)= Thermal Stability Test.

Tanks alot
Hadawi.

RE: Thermal Stability Test

Have a look at ASTM D4871-00, D6473-01e1, D3012-04.

RE: Thermal Stability Test

It depence on your material and on what you wish to get. There are methods (and instruments) that measure heat flow of your material at normal pressure or under pressure due to some decay reactions, either within a broad range at isothermal conditions or at some temperature function(linear rise, linear rise,stepwise,..)and you can add optional athmosphere(nitrogen, argon, moist air..).There are methods that through multiple runs at different temperature ramps determin the kinetics of the decomposition reactions and the software provides extrapolating of results to make reliable predictions. There are instruments that measure 1 single, four individual, eight or even 24 separate samples simultaneously. The fact is that eight or more replications give a certain weight to your test.
I would add an ASTM E1641-99 to the 25362's choice.
