Ok...likley anther dumb ass question...but I keep doing things correctly by accident.

I'm trying to set my text size and line font and units  etc to remain the way I want. So I set them and I try to save my drawing template with these settings. But it's not keeping them. Somehow, I managed to get it to keep my units as inches instead of SI, but that's all.  I can't figure out what I did to correct my units...

RE: Properties in templates...like text size, line font etc...

Read help on creating templates and saving the sheet format, etc.

go to File- "Save Sheet Format..."

That save your font sizes, etc to a .slddrt file which is used to reload a sheet.

I believe I just noticed something important. I drawing template and sheet format it turns out are NOT the same thing!

RE: Properties in templates...like text size, line font etc...

Very good! They are not and as soon as people understand that, they will understand how to use them to their advantage.

Yeah both of them are different ! To save your font etc settings-- after you save the sheet format, save the blank drawing document also and close it. You can delete it later. That way it remembers the settings from your format. Sometimes I didnt have to do that ..I just had to save the sheet format ..but sometimes I have found this work. So give it a shot!
