I have two mechanically coupled DC-brushes linear motors,
is it possible to drive such system?

I have serious trouble with controlling of speed.

Yes, it's done all the time in "Bridge" type machines.  Tell us more about your control archetecture

Such type of servo control is known as "Gantry" mode. What kind of speed problem do you have?
