Measuring equipment for rubber bellows

Measuring equipment for rubber bellows

(OP)
Hi,

I am looking for some internal calipers or other suitable equipment to measure the radial thickness of rubber bellows. Have tried Mitutoyo capliers, but spring is too strong and indents rubber. Any advise, assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

RE: Measuring equipment for rubber bellows

Have anvils made for a micrometer which will spread the measuring load across a larger surface area. Feel for the drag of the rubber as you pull between the anvils. If you rubber is flat there are some standard wide anvils available.
