I'm looking for a solution to download programs to a Motoman XRC controller, this function has to be perform during the next part preparation, for every part produced, with no operator intervention.

Our production system is very flexible, the system has an automatic part loading mechanism, and every part could have a different program. In such a way, that due to the memory limits we like to download the program "on the fly" to the controller.

Our aproach is to use only one program number on the controller, and exchange (download) this program fo every part.

I'm thinking on downloading the program thru an Ethernet network, but didn't find enough information on capabilities to automate the program download.

Any thoughts on this case?

Thanks,
