Hole Wizard -- Could not find face or plane

Hole Wizard -- Could not find face or plane

Hole Wizard -- Could not find face or plane

(OP)
I am on SolidWorks 2003 SP5.0.  I have used the hole wizard to place some holes, and have deleted the surface I attached them to.  I am not sure how I did this.

Is there way to re-attach the hole sketch to a surface short of deleting the holes and re-inserting them and re-inserting the parts attached to the holes and the fastener pattern using the holes as a reference?

RE: Hole Wizard -- Could not find face or plane

If the locator sketch is a 2D sketch, right-click and "edit sketch plane"

If it is a 3D sketch, edit the sketch and select the point.  Delete the coincident relation and add one to a new surface.

MElam,

The Edit Sketch plane option comes up on regular 2D sketches.  It does not come up on hole sketches.  That was the first thing I looked for.

   Thanks though.

Sorry, I missed that you said 2003!

Try holding the shift key while you drag the hole to another surface
