Molybdenum GTAW filer rod.

Molybdenum GTAW filer rod.

I am trying to find a reliable supplier of Molybdenum GTAW filer rod.
I will be welding Molybdenum tube and machined parts.
Material is Molybdenum 99.95% TZM: (Ti: 0.4?0.55%, Zr: 0.06?0.12%)
The material to be welded is Molybdenum NOT a metal alloyed with Molybdenum.

Thanks,
Dave

RE: Molybdenum GTAW filer rod.

Here two consumable suppliers that I have used for some of the lesser know materials.
The only Moly wire that I’ve actually seen was in a GE box, don’t know if they packaged it or not.  At one time there were several suppliers of wire but my information is dead.

Eagle Alloys has TZM wire.  They might not have the electrodes but should be able to put you on a source.

These people have been a great help in the past

Thank you Unclesyd for the information.  I will investigate these companies as soon as possible.

I can not believe how much trouble I am having finding a supplier for Molybdenum GTAW (tig) filler wire.
