I am using BlackIce to generate TIFS from Named Views in a drawing...

BlackIce (by default) sets the filenames to strings of incrementing letters...

AA8.tif ... AA9.tif ... AAA.tif ... AAB.tif ... AAC.tif ...etc...

Which you then have to go through and rename them...

Using the BlackIce Resource Development Kit and Visual Basic, I am trying to set the output file name and directory...

The BlackIce Driver (in Printers and Faxes window) is changing as expected...

BUT AutoCAD seems to be getting a snapshot of the driver upon loading and the Device Settings through the Plot Layout window (in AutoCAD) do not reflect the default settings in the printers and fax window (in Windows)

Is there a way to force AutoCAD to update it's device driver(s) to reflect the Default System Device Settings without restarting AutoCAD?

This applies to both AutoCAD 2004 (aka 16.0) & 2005 (aka 16.1)

Thanks in Advance,
-Josh

Can might try to go inside AutoCAD's Plotter Manager and create a PC3 plotter configuration for this plotter instead of using Windows system printers. AutoCAD controls its own settings better than it trying to control system resources.

I'm not sure if the BlackIce RDK can access the pc3 files...
I'll check into it though...
