Anybody heard or had experience with a product named EDAS Ce from Texas Instruments ( www.edasce.com).

I need a networked IO system doing some slow thermocouple measurements and this looks perfect ( although I frankly don't have any history with CE devices).

Any thoughts ?

Bob

RE: Ethernet IO products

We tried to incorporate a similar device with embedded CE and ran into some issues. We had to contract out the programming/development because we didn’t have anyone in house who knew how to develop anything for the CE platform. When we wanted to make a change, we had more money out to the contractor instead of our in house PLC programmers. This was terribly frustrating.
If you can program/develop for CE, I say go for it. If not, I would probably stay with standard PLC interfaces.
