Anyone have a .prt file of a Small Block Chevy engine they want to share?

SW2005

Thanks

RE: Small BlocK Chevy

No. That would be hard to find.
If you did, it probably would be a dumb part or assy.
Search the web.

A dumb part will do. I need it for a project I'm working on.

RE: Small BlocK Chevy

I have asked that before and I have searched the map without any luck. If you can't find one from the links provided in the FAQ559-520 and no one replies with an answer your going to have to make your own.

If I made my own I don't think I would release, dumb solid or not.

RE: Small BlocK Chevy

Your right Scott,

I created my own smbc 350 in Pro/Engineer for a project I was working on making it a stroker motor.
I took every component from the block to heads, hi rise intake etc. and painstakingly measured everything by hand with calipers and angle gauges.
In all it took me about 200+ hours to create it and make it run on Wildfire but it came out really cool. Every bolt has it's threads and every gear has its involute meshed together., cam profiles are damn close.
Problem is the company won't let me release it to anyone.

RE: Small BlocK Chevy

Can you release piece parts a little at a time?

"Can you release piece parts a little at a time?"

Suddenly running through my head is the old Johnny Cash tune about the guy smuggling a Cadillac out of the plant in his lunch pail one piece at a time...

RE: Small BlocK Chevy

I'm really sorry Chris but i could get in trouble.

I had my hands on parts from GM from Saturn motor to Northstar to the Corvette but couldn't take them with me.

They were converted from UG to parasolid, these were complete motors with everything on them. I got them through SEMA so if your a member you could call them to request the files.
