Bearing failures Electrical Motors

Bearing failures Electrical Motors

Bearing failures Electrical Motors

(OP)
Hi All,

I´m looking for the typical bearing failures in Electrical Motors, when they´re being tested without load.
I´ve read they always shout be tested with a minimum load, if they´re being tested without the minimum load, what bearing failures will occur?
And is there a normalised acceptance test in the field available?

Thanks!!

RE: Bearing failures Electrical Motors

All bearing manufacturers will provide you with bearing life data.  Most supply with limit ranges for RPM, Load, and much, much more.  Most Bearing companies are willing to send a rep out to your place and spend some time if it looks like a potential business op for them.
