Pnuematic convey metal removal

Pnuematic convey metal removal

Pnuematic convey metal removal

(OP)
We have a magnet in a pnuematic lean phase conveying line (as dry product enters a railcar) that we have trouble sealing.

SOP is to check the magnet after completion of each car (usually 3 per day).  The issue is that the seal is difficult to establish.

Does anyone have experience with this type of situation?  Whose product would you recommend?

We are also investigating if we can find something to put in the hopper that feeds the conveying line, but have not found anything of use there, either.

Thanks!

RE: Pnuematic convey metal removal

My suggestion is that you contact a company that makes industrial magnets and speak to an applications engineer.  Bunting Magnetics is one company that has responded well for me.

Any reputable vendor will try a lot harder to solve your problem than to just sell you something.  BUT be prepared when you call to answer a lot of questions about what you are doing in your system so they can offer the appropriate product to meet your needs.

Here are the people's equipment that we use in all our conveying systems.
