UG NX3 Motion

UG NX3 Motion

UG NX3 Motion

(OP)
Hi

I am a beginner of UG. I would like to learn about simulation of kinematics such as linkages, spring etc. Please let me know the basic how to make my simple mechanism in motion.

Thanks in advance,

Jiabao

RE: UG NX3 Motion

I started using the mechanism package about 5 years ago.  First, it's a more advanced package which should be used after knowledge of UG modeling & assembly.  With that said, the best advise I can offer (besides using a manual) is to start SIMPLE.  For example: create a simple line / create a link of that line / create a revolute, fixed to the end point of the line, at "constant" motion / enter "articulation" and run the revolute 10 steps at 1 deg per step.  If you get this to work - provo!!  You should be successful building each joint independently before you attempt two joints in a single part.  Lines and arcs are easier and faster to learn with than solids.
