CONVEYING SYSTEM

CONVEYING SYSTEM

CONVEYING SYSTEM

(OP)
hey guys hope you can help me up.can you give me an idea on how to solve for the maximum angle a bottle can maintain equilibrium and will not tilt down.it has a diameter of 65mm and height of 230mm.it is to be conveyed at a linear velocity of 20m/min and has a mass of .4kg when it is empty.based from other experiences it can go until 4.5° but they don't have any computation.i was trying to use dynamics.adding the complanar forces but i cant convert velocity to acceleration.i even computed for its centroid.do you have any idea guys.hope you can help me..

RE: CONVEYING SYSTEM

I am not quite sure but the bottle won't fall till the center of gravity lies in its base. If the centre of gravity is at a height of 115mm then its horizontal projection shouldn't be beyond 32.5mm(half the diameter).

So TanΘ = 32.5/115 or Θ = 15.780
