Bushing Design/Sizing

Bushing Design/Sizing

Bushing Design/Sizing

(OP)
Hello

I am working on a lower Control arm bushing (Horizontal and Vertical orientation), trying to figure out how to size the bushing,  the material I am using is Natural Rubber, I have the  joint loads from ADAMS.The bushing I am using is Inner metal sleeve , rubber material and outer metal sleeve.

In horizontal orientation I am using Torsinal loads as determing factor to calculate minimum rubber thickness and other bushing parameters
But I have no idea about Vertical orientation what formulas should I be using

Any help would be appreciated

In short my question is how to size pivot bushings when loads are known

Thanks a lot
