Coastal /Ocean Engineering Programs

(OP)
I'm looking for top-rated engineering programs dealing specifically with Coastal Engineering. Does anyone have a list or even an opinion as to what

RE: Coastal /Ocean Engineering Programs

I work w/ two Ocean Engineers and they received their degrees from Oregon St and Florida Atlantic. They also said Washington St was a good school.

RE: Coastal /Ocean Engineering Programs

I graduated with a M.Eng from UC Berkeley (1987)and
a Ph.D. from U. of Florida (1995),, both in Coastal
Engineering. I would say both are excellent schools
for coastal engineering. However, UC Berkeley may
have changed focus to offshore and environmental
engineering since the retirement of Prof. Wiegel.
Both U. of Delaware and Oregon St. U. are good
in coastal engineering too.

RE: Coastal /Ocean Engineering Programs

Don't forget Florida Tech...

Though U of F with Dr. Dean is pretty much THE coastal engineering university. I had the pleasure of meeting Prof. Wiegel in 1996.
