Manufacturing steps of a simple key

Manufacturing steps of a simple key

(OP)
I'm interested in the manufacturing steps of a simple key. Starting from the sheet metal to forging process and so on. Just the basic steps not the process parameters or anything.

RE: Manufacturing steps of a simple key

Mechcag,
First question: To what level of completeness?  Key blanks or finished to lock?
Second: By simple, I assume you mean metal only, no plastic grip?
Third: Side groves or simple flat?

"Simple" is a relatively relative term!
