Finding a solid face in Ansys

Finding a solid face in Ansys

Finding a solid face in Ansys

(OP)
Does anyone know a way to add attributes or other recognizeable tags in Unigraphics that will transfer over to Ansys? What Im looking for is a way to find a specific face in Ansys brought in from UG as a solid.

I have tried colors, names, attributes and so far havent seen them transfer over to the Ansys imported file. The reason Im looking for this is an automation tool that gets pretty involved. I need to find specific faces to communicate between different codes and run programs against them. Ansys is the only tool our Analysis people will consider. That leaves me with a communication problem.

Tricks would be fine if anyone knows one.

Thanks!!
Gergs
