Proper curing of residential slab, and hairline cracks

Proper curing of residential slab, and hairline cracks

Proper curing of residential slab, and hairline cracks

(OP)
My client is having a residential slab placed tomorrow.  Most builders here don't do anything to cure the concrete.

Will additives be sufficient, or should I insist on mats being placed over the slab?  And for how long?

Are hairline cracks considered normal in residential slabs?

Any notes on mixes and curing will be appreciated.

The slab is post tension, with some rebar.  4"thick, with 12"w x 24"d beams.
