isolation from horizontal separation
isolation from horizontal separation
(OP)
I am trying to get information on what kind of separation is needed between antennas. I have found a few calculators but they seem to base "xdB" of separation requires "x ft" for omnidirectional antennas. If there is a situation where directional antennas are used how should this be appraoched? I got some good information on a post I wrote on the Eng- other topics forum, but I thought I would take the advice of "The Old Soldering Gunslinger" and post here. Basically I would like to understand everything I need to regarding this subject so if you have books and other references to recommend please do so. My short order project is to get information on isolation, my longer-term goal is to get information on everything from intermodulation to 3rd order intercepts, etc.
TIA
TIA

RE: isolation from horizontal separation
I'll repeat one of my points - once you arrange things for maximum isolation (I assume that's your goal) then details matter.
I'll post a link to the previous thread if I can find it.
RE: isolation from horizontal separation
From the index for this subject (Antenna...), click Next and look for: "How do I measure/calculate antenna isolation?"
