Gulf of Mexico v North Sea Discharge Regs

Gulf of Mexico v North Sea Discharge Regs

Gulf of Mexico v North Sea Discharge Regs

(OP)
Hello Everyone -

We've been working on the treatment of produced water coming off the oil rigs - reducing THC/COD/Aromatics/TSS below 5mg/l to meet the 2007 discharge regs for the North Sea. We've done that and are working with the various oil companies to take the technology onto the rigs or barges along side (working on ATEX certification)

What I can't seem to find - is what are the regs for the Gulf of Mexico? Are they following along the lines of EU agreements? What about the Gulf of Oman - any website addreses or tech journals that you might know of that provide the discharge requirement would be helpful.
Thanks,
Dave Orlebeke
