Machining method for 1/4-16 ACME internal thread

(OP)
I face a problem right now:to make a 1/4-16 ACME internal thread, material for the part is stainless steel, Minor diameter is only about 0.1875-0.1925, I have tried both  drill & tap and cutting method, but can not get good result.
Are there any other method to make it? or maybe there are some tips on tapping or cutting.

Thanks!

Try a google search for 'micro 100'. They make excellent carbide tools for your purpose.
