TI ADS7870 A to D conversion

(OP)
I have an existing componet that uses an ADS7870  A to D converter chip.  It is desired to have an A to D with a higher resolution.  What are the odds of another chip existing that would be a direct replaced with a higher resoultion?  Literally un-solder the ADS7870 and install the new chip in it's place?

Thanks
