gas tips clogging problem

gas tips clogging problem

gas tips clogging problem

(OP)
am a maintenance engineer in refining industry.
we have difficulties with fuel gas tips (furnaces) getting glogged
Is there any procedure to clean the gas pipe (since the dirt is getting from pipe deposits)?
would strainers on lines be helpful??
thank you

RE: gas tips clogging problem

Do you know what is clogging the tips?  Traces of liquids in fuel gas can coke in burner tips.  If that was the cause, strainers aren't going to help.

Strainers would only solve the problem if the strainers opening is smaller than the solids that are plugging your tips.
