Single Phase Generator

Single Phase Generator

Single Phase Generator

(OP)
I have a request for a generator - 10kVA single phase 240volts L-N. 60Hz.
Anyone know of a supplier. Those I've contacted only supply 110/220v 3-wire single phase units.

thanks

RE: Single Phase Generator

You use the 110/220 (or 120/240V) 3-wire unit (2 hots and 1 neutral), which has a midpoint neutral in a 220 or 240V single phase winding. Do not use the midpoint neutral. But use one of the phase wires as neutral and ground it, you will have a 220 (or 240V) single phase generator. Make sure that the midpoint neutral is not grounded, check with mfr.
