Differences between ATEX and a similar CSA code

(OP)
Hi guys!
If the electrical installations, components and electrical cabinets in an oil process equipment is build and approved in accordance with the European directives 73/23/CE and 97/9/CE (ATEX) to operate in zone 1 (Class I, division 1), will it then be possible to have it approved in Canada?  If no, which CSA codes are then necessary to comply with in order to have the equipment approved for the Canadian market?  What are the main differences between ATEX and a similar CSA code?

It will be very appreciated if I could get any help.  Thank you very much in advance.

RE: Differences between ATEX and a similar CSA code

Contact your local hydro authority, they are the ruling orginization and shall submit approval if the equipment has been approved by any safety authority.
