When you record a macro you can assign a shortcut key to the macro. Can you change the shortcut key later? If so, how? On a related note, if you type in the VBA code by hand can you then assign a shortcut key to it?

RE: Macro shortcut key

On the Tools menu, point to Macro, and then click Macros. Click Options. Here you can change or assign the shortcut key.

Thanks for the response Guidoo!

RE: Macro shortcut key

FYI...
If you should ever feel the need to delete that macro later, be sure to un-map the hotkey first. Actually I renamed a macro be the hotkey pointer couldn't find it, and then the hotkey was not longer in my Customized "hotkey" list therefore I couldn't un-map it. I renamed the macro back, but the key still doesn't show up in my list of hotkeys...so now I'm stuck with a hotkey that I'll probably have to re-install SW to get back to normal...of course if I load my user.cus file it'll probably just start over :)

For now I just file it away with [ctrl]-f.
