Boundary Layer Meshing of a nosecone

Boundary Layer Meshing of a nosecone

Boundary Layer Meshing of a nosecone

(OP)
Hello everyone, Please help!
I am trying to simulate (in 2D) the airflow over the AIM9X Sidewinder Missile in horizontal flight using Fluent v6.

The domain is a parabolic face. What is the best way to use the boundary layer mesh around the missile so that i can make a good mesh for the face?

Having created a boundary layer mesh around the whole missile I need to mesh the domain. This is causing problems since it is distorting/changing the boundary layer mesh around the nosecone only. The nosecone is constructed using the conic function shouldered at a vertex that represents the tip of the nosecone.

Thanks
