"FAILED TO SAVE" ISSUE

"FAILED TO SAVE" ISSUE

"FAILED TO SAVE" ISSUE

(OP)
I am working in an assembly and creating ribs in a part that is within that assembly . When I go to save the assembly after making the ribs, the window asks to save all referenced documents as well.... I say yes.... Another window pops up, "failed to save".

But if I open up the individual part and make the ribs it saves fine.

Can anyone shed any light why this happens?

Thanks.

RE: "FAILED TO SAVE" ISSUE

If you save the assembly twice in a row do you get the message?

thanks for your follow ups.

I did try saving it... a few times...all failed to save.  I had been working with this assembly for a while, saving all along, with no problems.  It was just after creating the ribs that the assembly failed to save.  Something about those ribs the assembly didn't like.   I went ahead and created the ribs at the part level... it rebuilt fine when I went back into the assembly.
