Weco (hammerlock) fittings on a 5K Drilling Spool?

Weco (hammerlock) fittings on a 5K Drilling Spool?

(OP)
We've just had a 5000psi Drilling Spool manfuactured in line with API 16A, & API 6A, with the required side outlets finished off with Weco 1502 quick connections.  The Well Examiner doesn't think this is to code, and I agree with him, as API 16A and API RP 53 only mention 6A flanged outlets, 6A studded outlets or 16B hubbed outlets, no mention of Wecos etc.  However, the contractor assures me that they've made lots of drilling spools like this for the Norwegian sector and no-one's complained so far...

Can anyone else offer me an opinion on this issue?
