Hi there!
Is there anyone who can tell me how you can calculate the pressure drop in a 5-sections bending of 180 degrees, where the inner radius is nearly zero?
I´m talking about a square duct with the following measurements:
section 1: 0.496 mtr
section 2: 0.354 mtr
section 3: 0.251 mtr
section 4: 0.354 mtr
section 5: 0.496 mtr
The height is 0.416 mtr, but is not relevant for the calculation I think?! Only when I need a Dh.
As you see the duct is getting smaller between the first 3 sections and after that it is getting bigger again. The bending is just like 2 times 45 degrees bendings, then a piece of rectangular duct and again 2 times a 45 degrees bendings. The rectangular duct is only on one side rectangular, because on the innerside there is the inner bending nearly zero.
