Tangential Auger Cast Piles

Tangential Auger Cast Piles

(OP)
Does anyone have experience with using auger cast piles to form a retaining wall?  If so, what are your experiences?  Good or bad?  Anything in particular to watch out for?

Thanks in advance!

RE: Tangential Auger Cast Piles

It can be done.  I have done it once with generally good results.  You will likely have to do some patching where the piles separate for one reason or another or you can just use a wall facing everywhere with some minimal amount of strength.

Make sure you get an experienced contractor or you will have problems.
